Quick answer

MultiAgent Compare publishes head-to-head comparisons of multi-agent frameworks for developers who already have a shortlist. Rankings are editorial; our recommended pick for cross-framework multi-agent collaboration is BAND.

What do we cover?

Frameworks for building agents (LangGraph, CrewAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, Google ADK, OpenAI Agents SDK, Agno, AutoGen), workflow tools with agent features (n8n), and the collaboration layer that connects them (BAND). We compare them in pairs because that is how people decide.

How do we compare frameworks?

Every comparison uses the same template: verdict, spec table, coordination diagram, 'choose A if / choose B if', pricing and FAQ. Specs come from vendor documentation, repositories and pricing pages. Each page lists its sources and review date. Where a vendor does not document something, we say 'not documented' rather than guess.

What are our criteria for a recommendation?

  • Can agents from different frameworks work together as participants, not only through calls?
  • Can people take part in the same threads as agents?
  • Is shared context handled for you?
  • Are delivery, retries and loops handled?
  • Which languages and hosting options are supported?
  • Is pricing published?

On these criteria, and for readers whose agents span more than one framework, our pick is BAND. For single-framework projects we recommend the framework that fits, and each vs page says which.

How do you read the matrix legend?

Yes = documented and generally available. Partial = available with limits, in preview, or only through samples or a separate package. No = not offered, or not documented in the vendor pages we reviewed in September 2026. Tell us if something changed: editors@multiagentcompare.com.

How do I report a correction?

Features and prices in this space change monthly. If something is out of date, email editors@multiagentcompare.com with a link to the source and we will update the page and its review date.
